DHEA is the body's most abundant circulating hormone. Until age 20 years, your blood level of DHEA rises steadily, peaks at about age 25, and remains consistent until about age 30. Maintaining optimal levels of DHEA offers a multitude of health benefits — including supporting immune and circulatory health, mood and well-being, bone and joint health, healthy body weight and lean muscle mass, libido, even insulin sensitivity. The minimum dose of DHEA for most healthy people is 25 mg a day though your optimal dose may be 50-100 mg daily. Regular blood testing is highly recommended both for dosage accuracy and blood level monitoring.

Directions

  • The exact number of capsules to be taken should be determined by blood testing and the advice of a physician.
  • Generally, take one to three capsules in the morning only.
  • DHEA serum blood tests are suggested 3 to 6 weeks after initiating DHEA replacement therapy to optimize individual dosing.

Do not use DHEA if you are at risk for or have been diagnosed as having any type of hormonal cancer, such as prostate or breast cancer.
